Your First Visit

What to Expect — Start to Finish

No mystery, no surprises: here's exactly how your first physical therapy visit goes at First Rehabilitation of North Palm Beach.

Five Simple Steps

Your Visit, Step by Step

Once your appointment is scheduled, we'll email you an intake form. Completing it ahead of time means your first visit starts on time — and starts with therapy, not paperwork.

Takes just a few minutes at home

Three things: a photo ID, your insurance card, and your prescription or referral if your physician gave you one. Our front desk verifies your coverage before you arrive, so billing questions never ambush you.

You'll spend about an hour one-on-one with one of our therapists. They'll listen to your story, watch how you move, measure strength and range of motion, and build a plan around your goals — whether that's golf, gardening, or picking up a grandchild.

Most people assume the first visit is only paperwork and evaluation. Not here.

Treatment begins on day one. Most patients receive hands-on care at the very first visit — and leave already knowing what's going on, what the plan is, and what to do between visits.

Your follow-up visits are scheduled before you walk out the door, so your recovery has a rhythm from day one. You'll leave with your plan, your home exercises, and your next appointment on the calendar.

Good to Know

The Practical Details

What to wear: loose, comfortable clothing you can move in — shorts for knee or hip conditions, a loose shirt for shoulders. Your therapist needs easy access to the area being treated.
Parking: free lot right at our building. Park, walk in, and you're here.
Arriving: if you weren't able to finish your intake form at home, come a few minutes early and our front desk will help you complete it.
