Hand and upper extremity orthopedic surgeon · HSS Florida · West Palm Beach, FL
On the show
“That’s how we all interact with our environment… something that people take for granted until it starts bothering them.”
Dr. Butler, who in his words takes care of people’s arms, mostly the elbow, wrist and hand, explained why tennis elbow is so common in middle age even among people who never play tennis, and how he adds a collagen patch for the stubborn cases. He described the elbow injuries now showing up in young pitchers who play one sport year round, and a newly FDA cleared thumb joint replacement for basal thumb arthritis, built like a dual mobility hip, as an alternative to removing the trapezium bone.
